The Details
While doing a placement at Uncut Magazine in 2010, I was given the chance to provide an illustration for a tribute vinyl record for Roky Erikson’s band - The 13th Floor Elevators.
With Milton Glaser’s ‘Bob Dylan’ as inspiration, I set to work by hand.
The Result
My design was coloured in Illustrator by my supervisor (Jimmy Young) and produced as an insert to the record. Over 200 copies were sold, and it’s still for sale on the Sonic Cathedral website.
It was great to have my work printed commercially so early, and I’m really fond of
my copy of the record.
